Life Behind the Scuba Divers

I started at Brooks Institute hating people photography. I wanted to be an underwater wildlife photographer, so why would I need people photography?

At the end of my first semester, I almost left Brooks to pursue an education in marine science due to my frustration with assignments that revolved solely around photographing people.

I spoke to a teacher who changed my mind. He told me not to give up, and that the best way to get through the people photography was to make my assignments relate to my passion.

This semester, I had to take Lighting People, a class I had been dreading since the beginning of Brooks. This series, called “The Life Behind the Scuba Diver” was my way of making Lighting People enjoyable. The purpose of this series is to show that scuba divers come from many different backgrounds and career paths.
